The SIS20321 – Certificate II in Sport Coaching is a qualification that provides a pathway to work in assistant coaching roles in community-based sports clubs and organisations within the Australian sport industry.

Units of Competency

Our course has been designed to meet the requirements for the SIS20321 – Certificate II in Sport Coaching. It contains 7 units of competency as follows:

3 core units and 4 elective units.

  • HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
  • SIRXWHS001 Work safely
  • SISSSCO002 Work in a community coaching role
  • SISSSCO001 Conduct sport coaching sessions with foundation level participants
  • SISSSOF001 Work as an official in sport
  • SISSSOF002 Continuously improve officiating skills and knowledge
  • SISSSOF003 Officiate sport competitions

 

Facilitated sessions will be completed both in person at at your workplace, as well as in online classrooms in webinars. These sessions are 2 hours each and will have to have uninterrupted time allocated  for the students.

Students will also have to undertake unsupervised study and assessment in the Learning Management System on their own time. The student will have to allocate 5 hours per week to complete this on top of the facilitated sessions.
